Little Feats: A Quick & Charming RPG Board Game
Little Feats is a fast-paced, animal-themed RPG board game that blends strategy, exploration, and adventure. Designed for quick, engaging gameplay, players battle enemies, level up, and navigate a modular tile-based world that changes with every playthrough.
For this project, I used AI-assisted tools to develop the title, illustrations, and initial stat balancing, then refined everything through multiple iterations and hands-on playtesting. The journey of designing, producing, and revising a physical board game was full of surprises, from balancing mechanics to understanding production costs.
I put in hours of game research to analyze board layouts, mechanics, and designs that felt both fun and replayable. Inspired by Betrayal at House on the Hill, I developed a dynamic tile-based system where the board evolves as players progress. Little Feats also features multiple final bosses to choose from, ensuring no two games feel the same—from the map layout to the endgame challenge, every session offers variety and excitement.

I started with a simple construction paper version to play test and figure out how my game worked.

Next I showed my sketches and ideas to Chat GPT and asked it to recreate my characters. This resulted in 2D art I was able to take into Tripo AI to create 3D models. I then took those 3D models into Blender to make them sturdier for the 3D printing process. After a good 15+ hours of printing, it was time to sand, prime, paint and seal these 3D models. After 6 hours of painting, my character were looking pretty real.

I took the 2D art into Illustrator an made simple character cards for people to use representing themselves in the game. Amazon had a set of dice with matching colors I had to snag as well. I also created a rule book and box for the game.

I used Leonardo AI to help create all cards and map tile pieces. I had general ideas of what everything should look like, and it took about 20 hours of prompting to create all my cards and get the look I was hoping for. The items and loot cards were extremely difficult to get correct, but overall turned out well.
