My group, Ampersand, came up with the idea Helvetica's Kitchen. A playful spin on the Helvetica font name mixed with the fiery passion that you see on Hell's Kitchen as teams of chefs work together to plate beautiful food. Our designs survived the trial by fire and we wanted something to show off what we had been cooking up under our top designer teacher who resembled Ramsey.
I was responsible for art direction, the mood board, deliverable videos (ig, timeline, webcam backgrounds, animations), chef shirts and merch as well as the poster featuring fire and salt. I also helped with copy for our work and scripting.
Ampersand was made up of five members.
• Myself, the art director & a designer
• Ashleigh Hughes, the project manager
• Sierra Adsitt, a designer
• Hayden Anderson, a designer
• Brittany Wallace, the web developer

Brainstorming Designs
We really liked this idea of see what we've been cooking up & people taking a "bite of our work" for the grad show and played around with it.
Final Designs
Although our designs weren’t selected for the event, collaborating as a team to create these pieces was an exciting and rewarding experience. We received valuable feedback from professional judges, highlighting the potential disconnect of incorporating non-edible items in food-related designs. While our teacher and class appreciated the concept, we wholeheartedly agreed with the feedback and recognized the importance of prioritizing a strong, cohesive concept in future projects.
